you wake up next to Changgu, his topless chest poking out from beneath the covers. his breaths are slow and long as he faces you, and you push the hair out of his eyes to help him sleep more comfortably. he begins to stir awake, instead.

"y/n?" he groans, pulling you towards him even though his eyes are shut.

"you're awake?"

"mm."

Changgu's arms wrapped tightly around you make you feel safe, but you can't help but think how many people he's harmed with them. you trace the curve of his biceps and he chuckles.

"do you like my muscles?" he asks, smirking.

"how could i not--i mean, Changgu! stop pulling words out of my mouth," you whine, slapping the boy who laughs at you.

his curled hair and creased eyes... his tired smile... you just can't help but softly kiss him.

"Changgu," you call out once you pull away.

"hm?"

"do you have to be a hitman?" you ask.

"to protect you, yes angel," Changgu replies, gently stroking your hair and the side of your face with his thumb.

"what if i move somewhere else? it'll be fine.. right?"

"i still have uncleared debt that i owe the mafia," Changgu replies, sadly. "also, please don't move away from me."

you bury your face into his chest.

"i'll never leave you, Changgu. i'll take you with me!"

he smiles, gently holding the back of your head.

"if i also join the mafia, can we clear your debt faster?" you ask.

Changgu chuckles at your innocence, shaking his head.

"that's not how it works."

"well, how long will it take for you to clear your debt if i move out? will it make it faster at least?"

"hm... probably. i have 3 years that i actually owe them."

"3 years? that's good then! hm, i need to start looking for new places to stay," you say, turning around to find your phone.

"you're being serious?" Changgu asks you.

"of course," you say, searching for apartments on your phone.

Changgu's heart flutters knowing you're moving out just for him. he presses a kiss to your bare shoulder, a sign of his affection.

"find something close to here at least," he says, shuffling towards you to look at your phone.

"of course," you say again, "do you think i can survive without you?"

you manage to find a place in the apartment complex across from your old one. it's much safer and Changgu's apartment is slightly closer to it, too.

for three years, you go about your life and take care of Changgu during the hours that he's home. you always thought mafia members would be all bloody and bruised, but Changgu always just looks like the pretty corner store worker you've known him as.

he never tells you about what he does while he's gone and you never ask him about it. you just greet him with a hug and ask him if he wants to chill at home or go out and do something.

one night, as you're laying in bed beside him, you trace the 'x' on his neck with your fingertips as he lays on his back, staring at the ceiling.

"Changgu, what'll you do about this tattoo once you're done with the mafia?" you ask.

"keep it as a memory?" he jokes.

"could you turn it into something else?"

"maybe.. should i write your name?" he asks, placing his hand over yours, the one that was touching his neck.

"no! that's weird!"

Changgu laughs, turning to face you.

"i'll think about it when we get there, okay dear?"

you nod and he pats your head, smiling at you with utmost sincerity.

three years later, Changgu shows you his healed tattoo. it's a tiny cornerstore in colour, just like the one where he met you.

you press a kiss to it and hug him, and he hugs you back.

"you're finally free, Changgu."

"i'm always free when i'm with you," he replies.

You tried. You really did. But it was clear nothing was going to change. There were nights Changgu came home late, not knowing he woke you up as he crawled into bed during the early hours of the morning before the sun had even come up. There were times he didn’t even come home at all, and you didn’t see him until the next night where he would eventually find his way back into your be you “shared” with him -- but at this point, did you even really share it? You had a gist of what he was doing, but no solid explanations. You knew with him being in the mafia that he couldn’t be there for you like a normal fiance, but you thought that maybe after getting engaged that he would at least put in a little more effort to be there.

Of course, the one time you wanted Changgu to come home at his usual hour, he didn’t. He came home a couple hours before midnight to you staring down at the ring on your finger, ready to take it off and place it on the nightstand.

“_____?” Changgu’s voice made you jump and turn to face him, looking like a deer in headlights.

You didn’t even hear the front door close. You didn’t even hear his boots on the floor as he walked down the hallway and up the stairs to your bedroom.

“What’re you doing?” he questioned, though judging from the hurt in his eyes, he already had an idea.

“Changgu, I--”

“No,” he shook his head before you could even explain, seeing your fingers on your other hand still holding onto the engagement ring. “No, you can’t do this.”

“Changgu, it’s just not working,” you sighed. You did feel bad to end everything like this, but you had already spent enough time crying over him and your lonely relationship. You couldn’t cry anymore despite the tears that filled his eyes. “You’re never home, we barely speak--”

“I’m trying, _____!” he insisted.

“But it’s not enough.”

He strode over to you, covering both of your hands with his, “_____, please... Don’t leave me...”

“We both know this isn’t working,” you said just barely above a whisper. “We can’t keep this up forever.”

You gently pulled your hands from his grasp, removing your wring and putting it into his palm. You wrapped his fingers around it before looking into his eyes.

“Goodbye, Changgu.”

And with that, you took your luggage and left him alone in the bedroom that he’d left you alone in so many times before.

You came home to your boyfriend of 2 months, Hwanwoong, disturbed. At work, you were approached by a man in the investigative services, a man looking for evidence against "Hwanwoong, the leader of ONEUS".

Hwanwoong? The man who stands on a table to avoid spiders? The leader of the largest crime group in South Korea?

You stood in the hallway, breathing slowly. You needed to prepare yourself. For what you'll say and for how he'll respond.

The sound of light footsteps grew closer and you could practically hear his excitement.

"Babe!" He rounded the corner, "how was work?"

He attempted to hold your hand but you moved away from him.

"It was fine." Hwanwoong could tell something was wrong, your eyebrows scrunched together, and your eyes looking at the ground. "We need to talk."

So there you were, sitting crosslegged, and staring Hwanwoong into submission. He was sitting across from you, nervously playing with his hands.

"So," you raised an eyebrow, "Anything you want to tell me?"

"Uh-" He looked around the room trying to find a clue. Is it because he ate her slice of cake? "If this is about the strawberry and cream cake slice I ate I promise I didn't mean to!"

"You ate my what-"

"Nevermind!" he quickly interjected. "Could you just tell me?"

You inhaled. You already knew what the answer would be but you needed the truth to come from him.

"Yeo Hwanwoong, the leader of ONEUS, right?"

Hwanwoong's blood went cold. He was going to tell you when you trusted him more, he was. But how did you find out?

"B-baby I can explain!" He chuckled nervously. "If you could just tell me who told you, I promise I'll explain everything."

You sighed. "I'm sorry Hwanwoong, but I can't date... a person like you."

As you started to stand up, you missed Hwanwoong's fists tightening. His breathing was staggered and his brows furrowed.

"Someone like me?" He laughed in disbelief, a dark sound. Hwanwoong sounded dangerous. For the first time since you met him, he sounded dangerous.

He stood up, a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes was held on his face. The man reached over to his phone and typed a short sentence. "Honey, I've been genuine with you this whole time. But if you can't see that, I think I'm going to have to change how we do things here."

"That's what I'm saying, Hwanwoong." You said, hands out in a 'calm down' motion. "We need to break up because we aren't doing well together."

This time, the smile wasn't even there when you looked up at him. He dropped his phone on the couch and took hold of your hand instead. Hwanwoong pushed you against the wall, one of his large hands holding both of your wrists above your head. He leaned in, trying to kiss you. Trying to make you feel the sparks he always does. Trying to show you his desperation.

But you moved your head away. He scoffed. He grabbed your face and planted a hard kiss on your lips. The longer it went on the more he calmed down. His kissing went from a harsh, angry one to a desperate attempt at showing you his emotions. You could feel his erratic breaths and what sounded like sobbing. You opened your eyes.

Hwanwoong... Was crying?

He let go of you and slumped onto your shoulder, his body shaking.

"Please," he cried, "don't leave me."

"Hwanwoong, I have to."

"You cant! I love you and I need you!" He brought his eyes back up to meet yours. "And I'll do whatever I have to, to make you mine."

Shivers went down your spine. Yep, he's crazy.

You laughed nervously, "I understand, Hwanwoong. Let me put my shoes by the door, hm?"

You seemed to persuade him enough to fully let you go, though his eyes still followed your figure. Taking a deep breath in, you grabbed the front door handle and pulled hard. But all you were met with were large men in maroon suits and earpieces blocking the way. Hands wrapped around your waist.

"I texted them earlier," Hwanwoong whispered bitterly into your ear. "In case you were scared and needed... protection."

"Yeo Hwanwoong, this has gone too far, and you know it!" You struggled against his hold.

"I know. And I'm sorry. But I do love you. And I can't live without you."

at this point y/n wondered why he followed his instincts. had he known it was a mafia on the other side of where he was, he could have gotten in his car, gone home to enjoy a cup of ramen, and then go to sleep. then again he didn’t know, so he blamed life’s cruelty.

“hey, good morning.” a soft voice brought him out of his thoughts. he glanced over at the familiar voice that belonged to the only person he’s seen in the past few days.

y/n said nothing, watching the other slide in a tray of steamy fresh food. “i noticed you eat a few things more than the others so i tried to give you bigger portions.”

“thanks,” y/n accepted the tray with no expression and seonghwa pursed his lips at the short answer. 

at the tense atmosphere, seonghwa excused himself. he wasn't sure if he felt pity for y/n, but either way, he just wanted y/n to grow used to this new environment because one thing was certain and that was that y/n could never go back to his old life.

seonghwa sighed softly, "good morning."

y/n tilted his head at him, looking up at the second in command with dull eyes. he simply hummed in greeting, clearly not in the mood during the past five days. 

the blonde gripped the tray, his patience running low with the older’s behavior. he's meaning well, he understands y/n, he does, but no one will get anywhere if there’s constant passiveness between the two.

 “i threw in an extra cookie,” he gestured to the pastry, “i figured you’d like some extra sugar in your system.”

once more, y/n hummed, nodding his head lightly.  it made seonghwa's blood boil—clearly, y/n wasn't vibing with him, and the last thing he thought of in this situation was the way y/n was being affected.

"hey, listen. your little silent treatment isn't gonna do jack here. you either socialize or stay down here, which isn't gonna happen because sooner or later they'll drag you up there. keep in mind you won't have anyone else to socialize with—forget your friends, family, everyone you had around before this. you'll be around us for as long as needed, maybe until your last breath."

y/n scoffed, looking away from seonghwa, something the older didn't take very nicely until he heard y/n’s meek reply, "you say that like it's easy."

the younger sputtered, handing y/n the tray of food, "i know it's hard, but just know each of us gave something up too. but, eventually, we all learned how to live with it,” seonghwa squatted to y/n’s level, “and you will too." 

the doctor swallowed, taking the tray and finally making eye contact with seonghwa. they shared a small pained smile, and seonghwa made one last comment before heading back, "make sure you eat up—don't want you dying on me after i took all that time to make such delicacies." 

y/n smiled to himself as he heard seonghwa shuffle to turn around. "thank you…i'll see you later…"

"sure will…” seonghwa’s chuckle ricocheted off the walls as he walked down the hall to the metal door. he pushed it open, making his way up the stairs and to the living room where a few of the others were gathered.

“hyung! just on time, we were talking about this upcoming mission we might have in a few days,” san commented as soon as he saw the older.

“is that so?” seonghwa mumbled in response as he sat down next to hongjoong, the other sipping iced bourbon from a glass cup.

“i’m not sure about it yet,” hongjoong set the glass down on the coffee table in front of him, “wooyoung still needs to gather more info before i verify anything. can’t be careless, remember?”

“totally, hyung. i’ll dig more into the client and have the info needed before morning.” wooyoung gave a reassuring smile to their boss, who simply hummed in return.

“by the way hwa,” hongjoong glanced at his boyfriend, leaning back into the leather couch and crossing his legs, “how’s the doctor?”

seonghwa blinked, “he’s fine, a bit down but he’ll get over it. so, in short, he’s behaved well these past days.”

hongjoong nodded, “that’s good, we’ll let him out tomorrow then. but right now i need you to go with san to the mechanic shop, make sure business is flowing well—which i don’t doubt. maybe visit mingi and yunho and see how well the loaning business has been. if i recall correctly, mingi said something about a few people not paying back on time; tell them not to get aggressive, we aren’t monsters after all.” there was a playful lilt to his tone, but they picked up on the seriousness behind it.

san got up, nodding at hongjoong’s orders, “we’ll tell yeo if anything happens.”

seonghwa followed suit, “we’ll see you later then,” he waved farewell without looking back at them.

wooyoung slid the folder over to hongjoong, the older raising a brow while taking it in his hands. “i gathered some info, it’s all in there—but to put it simply, i think we’ll gain lots of benefits after signing a deal with him. his name is yoo dongwoo, lives in seongnam.”

“that’s a bit too close to us, don’t you think?” hongjoong hums as he sets the folder down, resting his elbow on the armrest and his chin on the palm of his hand. 

“yeah, it is. but i think it’d be worth it. he seems to have lots of connections, and so far he’s never had an issue with payments, transportation and business—” wooyoung’s attention is taken when the door leading to the basement is pushed open.

“people!” yunho blocks y/n, capturing the attention of the others in the room. the tallest holds his arms out in a way of grand gesture, bowing, “i present you, y/n-”

“that’s...not necessary…” y/n can feel his skin grow warm under the tense and awkward atmosphere. luckily it’s broken by the one and only choi san.

“well we haven’t properly introduced ourselves if you think about it,” he pushed himself into y/n’s space, the doctor tensing up a bit at the close intrusion. yunho watched san, stepping aside to give the two some more space,“i’m san! nice to meet you! i’m sure we’ll get along just fine.”

the cheerful boy grinned widely, dimples making an appearance while his eyes did the opposite. y/n blinked, processing how close san was before taking a small step back. he didn’t reply verbally, giving a small smile and a nod instead,

“you know me already,” yunho said while taking a seat at the table.

"you know me too," seonghwa walked in with a tray of cookies, baking gloves protecting his hands.  "and take a seat."

y/n glanced at the table, not sure where to take a seat, but he guessed it didn't matter as long as he didn't sit near the boss.

"i'm hongjoong, the boss in case you didn't know," hongjoong watched the tray seonghwa placed on the table, waiting to grab a pastry.

"i'm mingi!" said male smiled as y/n hastily took the seat next to him. 

"i'm wooyoung, but call me woo if you want!" wooyoung was on the other side of y/n, making the doctor sandwiched between him and mingi.

"yeosang," the said male sat across from y/n, an intensely bored expression taking over his features. 

"did we miss anyone?" seonghwa rose a brow while taking off the gloves. 

"oh right, jongho! he's our bodyguard," san gestured at the buff male that stood by the door. 

y/n turned to look at him, jongho gently nodding his head at him and y/n doing the same. 

hongjoong clapped his hands, capturing everyone's attention. "great, now with that out of the way, let's get down to business."

everyone nodded at his words, taking a cookie from the tray seonghwa placed on the table. y/n accepted the one san handed to him, smiling a bit at how caring the male had shown to be so far. 

"we're heading out in the morning, i need everyone to get back to their usual jobs by evening so we'll try to make the exchange as quick as possible. everyone except y/n and yeosang will go, we need info and updates from the outside. 

before we leave i need yunho and mingi to make sure all the parts we'll hand over are correct. i don't want mistakes. wooyoung and i will take care of the talking, san and seonghwa will stand by the nearest exit to make sure everything is in order. jongho you'll be with me and woo." 

all nine of them nodded at hongjoong's orders. y/n voluntarily nodded, remembering seonghwa’s earlier words, “each of us gave something up too. but, eventually, we all learned how to live with it.” he knew he wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon, so he figured he’d make it a bit easier for himself.

"and i need you all to wear bulletproof vests under your clothes just in case. your guns must be locked and loaded, got it?" 

"guns?" y/n blinked, capturing everyone's attention, "why are you guys willing to blow your organs out?" 

wooyoung smiled, his head tilting a bit, "why are you willing to work for people who’s organs have been blown out?” 

y/n opened his mouth before closing it and nodding in defeat, "fair point. i get paid for it, at least..."

they were all quiet before chuckling, the atmosphere feeling more warm and calm than what it was when they first gathered.

"has anyone seen y/n?" 

his peers shook their head, speaking of the last time they saw said male. the doctor he worked with mentioned something that made the nurse worry even more. 

"last thing i knew was that his car was towed since he never picked it up. didn't hear anything else though, but don't worry heeseung, maybe he picked it up afterwards." 

heeseung, the nurse that had asked about y/n's whereabouts, sighed. "right...i hope so...see you guys tomorrow!" 

his peers returned the smile and farewell. 

as heeseung took a seat on the bus, he pulled out his phone. the first thing he did was go to the messaging app and open his and y/n's chat.

You honestly don’t know how much time has passed since you’ve been trapped in this dark room that smelled of mold and rust. One of your eyes was swollen shut, your lip was bleeding because you could taste the iron every time you swallowed. You're pretty sure your wrist is broken unless it’s supposed to bend almost all the way to the back like that. Yet, you no longer felt any pain.

The last thing you remember was talking with San about how excited you were since you had found out you were pregnant. While San was part of the notorious mafia syndicate, ATEEZ, he was a softy on the inside, you were like his sister. He was helping you plan a small reveal party with the other boys so you could tell Yunho that you two were in fact going to have a baby.

Instead, now, you were here. In this crappy warehouse or house or room, you weren’t too sure. It’s too dark to tell and you had been knocked out before they grabbed you. You weren’t naïve enough to believe that something like this would never happen given Yunho’s career choice. You had just hoped that it would have happened before you were pregnant or after because even though it was the early stages, about ten weeks or so, you just knew earlier when your kidnapper kicked you multiple times in the stomach that there was no chance that kind of trauma could be good for you or your baby.

Which is probably why you felt numb now. You knew if you didn’t cough up information your life would be next, but you didn’t care. All that was running through your head was that there was way too much blood on the ground that you know didn’t come from your split lip or bleeding head. You wanted to throw up, you wanted to scream, cry and thrash about. Though, with your hands being tied way too tightly behind your back and your feet secured tightly, you couldn’t do that.

Plus, your life or not, you would never sell out Yunho. He was your husband. You loved him, despite how violent he could get. He was never violent with you or the people he cared about though. You were able to see the sweet, puppy-like features that you saw when you first met him in the small café you had been working at. You heard the door creek open and you stiffened.

“Ready to give me what I want?” You scoffed at your attacker’s voice, spitting blood on his feet.

You were instantly punched in return which caused you to let out a whimper, “Just kill me. I’m not giving you anything,” You tried to sound tough but you knew your voice sounded like anything but tough.  

You weren’t giving him any information, especially now that you knew that blood was because of your baby. What more did you have left? It was your fault that you couldn’t protect your unborn child enough. You should have fought back more, blocked your stomach, begged or pleaded for him to hit you anywhere but there. Dying would be better than the torture your head was giving you. Torture that the guilt was giving you.

You closed your eyes when you saw him raise his knife, waiting for the blow but it never came. Instead, a single gunshot that had him screaming in pain and dropping his knife to the ground. You opened your eyes wide as more gunshots rang out, more screaming, eyes searching wildly for the one person you needed right now but you were soon distracted when you felt someone come up behind you which caused you to scream with the little energy you had left.

“Y/N! Hey, it’s me! It’s San!” He yelled frantically as you let yourself fall limp whilst he cut your bindings off and picked you up, staring at you worriedly.  

“Y-Yunho, I need him. S-San, where's Yunho?” You whimpered as you gripped the collar of his shirt.  

“He’s here, baby. He’s here, I promise. Now, let me get you out of here first,” He said as he expertly carried you out to their awaiting car, sprinting once he was outside. He saw the blood on the floor. He saw how pale and sickly you looked. He knew you didn’t have long if you didn’t get help now.

He threw the back of the door open, “Yeo! Hwa! You need to help her! Now!” He shouted in fear as he laid you down across the back seats.

Yeosang and Seonghwa gulped once they saw your state and immediately got to work. All of the boys loved you, you were their family. Sure, not all of them had been as welcoming as you would have hoped when you first met them, but that was expected. They were trained not to trust outsiders. Though you had a knack for making others feel comfortable around you. Thankfully it didn’t take too long for them to warm up to you.

“You can’t let her die,” San yelled as Yeosang glared at him, “She’s not going to San. Now shut up and get out of the way.”  

As San went to move to get in the driver's seat, he remembered something vital, “Wait Yeo, Y/N’s pregnant. She only found out last night that she was a few months along,” Yeosang and Seonghwa wanted to be excited, wanted to be happy for you, but they couldn’t right now. There was certainly no baby if there was no you.  

“I’ve got it San. Start driving and get us back home,” Yeosang said anxiously.

Once the boys arrived home, they cleaned and bandaged you up.  Yeosang had already given you a heavy dose of a sedative, wanting you to at least sleep through tonight in some sort of comfort instead of crying out in pain.

“The baby?” San questioned weakly as he sat next to your bed. Yeosang looked to the floor, as Seonghwa intertwined his fingers with his and squeezed them to hint that it was okay to go on. 

“We- there- no,” He said nervously, not being able to think of the right words to say in this kind of situation to which San looked confused, eyes darkening.  

“What do you mean, no?” He stood up, feeling a little pissed to which Seonghwa cleared his throat, standing to full height, reminding him that he was not the one to blame. 

“There was no heartbeat San, the baby is gone,” Yeosang explained, doing his best to keep his tears at bay. At that moment, Yunho burst through the doors, blood splattered on his clothes as he took your hand.

“Y/N, baby. I’m so fucking sorry. I’m here, I’m here now and that’s what matters. You’re okay, we’re okay,” He said as he kissed your temple and squeezed your hand. He looked up at Yeosang, eyes pleading for good news.  

“She’s alright Yunho. Pretty banged up, but physically, she’ll heal with time,” Yeosang went to open his mouth, to tell him about the baby but San’s glare and Seonghwa’s harsh pinch to his arm had him closing it in a matter of seconds.

A few days later, you were awake and in an immense amount of pain. Your body hurt, your head hurt, your heart hurt. You had barely spoken three words since you woke up. Currently, you were seated by the window, staring out at the blue sky and bright sun. However, nothing felt right. You still felt empty and cold inside. Yunho had tried to hug you when you had first woken up but you flinched away, panicking at the thought of him holding you, someone touching you.

He had backed off and hadn’t tried to since. San had tried to grab your hand but you harshly pulled it away, refusing to look at him. It had hurt; San was probably the one boy you were closest too and now you could hardly bring yourself to face him. Let alone, your husband. You weren’t blaming them for anything. You weren’t angry or upset with them, but you were with yourself.

How could you look at your husband, knowing that you had killed your child? The little boy or girl that would have been running around in months, bringing joy to everyone’s lives, was now gone.  All because you didn’t try hard enough to protect them. How could you look at San, your best friend, knowing that the reason he would never get to see the face of his niece or nephew was because you didn’t block your attackers kicks? It was all your fault, only you were to blame.

Wooyoung had tried talking to you, but you refused. How could you look at the people that have treated you like nothing but family and tell them that all you thought about when sitting by that window was if it was high enough to kill you if you jumped? How could you tell them that you wanted nothing more than to just die? It would be much better than this guilt you were carrying.  

Yunho frowned as he watched you, staring blankly out the window as he slowly made his way towards you, placing a kiss on your head. You jumped, turning around with wide eyes but relaxing when you saw it was him. 

He had his hands held up in surrender, “Sorry, I’m sorry baby. I just- missed you, that’s all. I forgot,” He sighed.

You offered him a weak smile, patting his hand. You could hold his hand for a minute, until the guilt ate away at you and you’d have to let go.  

“Let me help you, Y/N. Please. I love you. Just talk to me,” He begged. 

You felt even more guilt pile up as his voice cracked. How could he still love you after all this? You bit your tongue, refusing to say anything. You just couldn’t. Not now and maybe not ever.  

“S-San told me about the baby,” He said as he noticed the way you tensed up and refused to meet his gaze. He now knew why you were acting this way, “It’s not your fault, not even close. We’ll get through this, please just let me help you. I’ll have someone to come talk to you. Someone who knows nothing of this life. Please, baby. Please.”

You still didn’t say anything, unshed tears building up in your eyes. He knew that you failed to protect one of the most precious things to you. He didn’t want to leave, but he had too. He had another job and he needed to be there, “I’ll find someone. You’ll talk to them and everything will be okay soon,” He hoped it would be okay, but you knew you would never be okay again.

You were left alone, still trapped in your mind. Then, you couldn’t take it anymore. It was silent but you knew Yunho had left one of the boys behind in case you needed anything. So, you did your best to stay quiet as you made your way to the bathroom and grabbed the pills and you swallowed them all, without hesitation. It didn’t take long for you to feel numb, dizzy, it was hard to breath, but a broken rib or two could do that to you. You laid in your bed, closing your eyes and for the first time in a week, you felt at peace.

“Don’t you dare let her, die! She is not going to die. I swear to god if you let her die, I will NOT forgive you,” Yunho bellowed. 

You were cold and clammy. Barely breathing as Seonghwa and Yeosang tried to bring you back. Yunho was not going to let you die. He shouldn’t have left. He should have sent someone else and stayed here with you, because now did he not only lose his child, he was also close to losing his wife. Until he heard the beat of the heart monitor. Until he saw you gasp in a breath of air, starting to scream as to why they saved you. Why they brought you back. How could they bring you back after what you did?

His heart broke and before he could stop himself, he was wrapping his arms around you and squeezing you to his chest. Kissing your temple and letting his tears fall, “It’s okay, Y/N. You’re here. I’m here. The boys are here. We’ve got you and we’re going to get through this. By God, we’re going to get through this,” He said as you clung to him, screaming and sobbing. You missed his touch, his comfort.

One by one, the others wrapped themselves around the two of you. They would be damned if they let you die. They’d be here, always, and if that meant getting out of this life, they’d do it.  They would do it if it meant they could help you, keep you. Yunho had already made up his mind. Maybe they couldn’t leave this life entirely just yet, but someone else could run the business until you were healed.

Until then, he was going to sit by your side every day. He was going to be there for you every waking moment. He was going to spend whatever time he had left in this life showing you, telling you that you deserved to be here. That it wasn’t your fault and that he would always love you.

For the first time, you felt that maybe, just maybe- it would be okay. Maybe not now, maybe not anytime soon, but one day it will be okay. You will be okay.

What fandoms have you written for (but do not currently)?

I still currently write for every fandom I've ever written for. I've never stopped writing for a group.

What fandoms are you currently writing for?

EXO, ATEEZ, VICTON, The Boyz, Golden Child. You should probably expect to see 2PM make an appearance in the future.

How long have you been writing?

Since 2018. I just started doing it one day 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

On which platforms do you post your stories?

Tumblr is my main, but my stories are also on AO3, AFF, and WP (all under the same name)

What is your favorite genre to write?

Angst 🥴🥴 I also enjoy writing mafia stuff 😘😘

Are you a pantser or a planner?

Mostly pantser. I get a general idea/outline and fill in from one point to another. It's when I go off the written path that chaos ensues.

One shot or multi-chapter?

Multi-chapter. I think it's quite obvious 🥴🥴 I need constant instant gratification and one shots don't provide that lol.

What is the perfect chapter length in your opinion?

Personally, I like 3-4k. Enough to sink my teeth into, but not long enough that I need to take a snack break.

What is your longest published story? Is it complete?

No Exit is 77.5k words 😬😬😅😅 I guess it was a good thing I broke it up and made a sequel lol, and yes, both are complete.

Which story did you enjoy working on the most?

No Exit. There's just something about that storyline that I love so much 😍😍 Plus, I enjoy writing badass shit.

“Listen to me, Y/N.”, Yeo One says, voice low, “Everything is going to be alright, okay? You just need to follow my instructions and then we’ll be out of here as soon as possible.” You try to stifle a sob and to put on a brave face, nodding at him. He gives you a small smile, tucking some of your hair behind your ear. “I’m really sorry for this.”, he murmurs, “You were never meant to be a part of this.” You dab at your eyes, and just nod again. Being sucked into a war between two mafia gangs had definitely not been part of your plan either. But you cannot even fault Yeo One for this - there’s just been a misunderstanding. When you had begun to go over to Yeo One’s place to plan a surprise holiday for one of your mutual friends a few weeks ago, the other gang had simply put one and one together, thinking you were his new girlfriend. Which, quite frankly, you are not - even though you cannot deny that you’ve developed a slight crush on the kind, handsome man. But that was before you knew he was part of a mafia gang - so right now, you just want to be as far away from him as possible. Because thanks to this misunderstanding, the rival gang had decided to kidnap you and use you as a pawn to get Yeo One to talk about the secret hiding spot of his boss. Thankfully, the rival gang hadn’t even bothered to torture you, not seeing the point as they quickly realized you knew literally nothing. They had left you alone, only leaving one guard behind to stand watch. Yeo One had used this chance to sneak into the building, get rid of the guard and free you - and now you are so close to freedom again, only one last hallway standing between you and the outside world. “Now what?”, you finally whisper, still crouching down low. “Now, when I say run, you run - and don’t look back, okay?”, Yeo One says, taking your chin between his thumb and forefinger and tilting your head up so you have to face him. His expression is drawn, dark eyes filled with worry and mild panic. You try to give him a small smile, try to reassure him. “Okay.”, you just whisper, and his gaze darts from your eyes to your lips and back again. “I’ll see you soon.”, he murmurs, before giving you a last smile and stepping around the corner, “Run.” You do as you’re told, trying to ignore the sounds of multiple guns going off, trying to ignore the loud, pained screams. You just run towards your freedom, not looking back - just like Yeo One told you to.
